OK. I admit, I bought the first box because it had
a Boston Terrier on it. If there ever was a fussy
beggar dog, its mine. Guinness would live on your
dog buscuits. I'm dog sitting for my daughter's
Frenchy and her Frenchton ( and Boston
mix). Needless to say I have had to make several
runs to the market this week as now this the only
treat they love!!!
I think you should consider a bigger box and I will
happily send you a picture of my 3 begger dogs.
Both my dogs love these treats but Jim Thorpe Market stopped selling them , I wish we could order them on line.
Hi Bruce! We're glad to hear that your pups love our treats! Luckily for you and your pups, our Beggar treats can be purchased online at Chewy.com! Hopefully they can arrive speedily so your pups can continue to enjoy them!
I have been feeding these for a long time my dogs love them even my old boy who is having kidney problems and won't eat will still eat a half of one readily.
I wish you could design a biscuit that was lower in protein so dogs with kidney issues can still eat them without worry of to much protein. Thank you
Hi Theresa! Thanks for your review, and we will take that advice into consideration!
I have two Boston Terriers that have been devouring the biscuits for over a year. The older Boston literally dances and gets tears in his eyes every time I open up the “treat locker” to pull out a box of Beggar Dogs! In fact, a box of biscuits might last for 2-3 days MAX so I buy at least 4-6 boxes at a time!
Hi Mike! Thanks for your glowing review! We LOVE how much your pups LOVE our treats! Thanks for sharing!
I submitted a negative review months ago & it HAS NOT been posted. I wonder why not?? These treats have completely changed since it was sold to AMERICAN pet products. I am so disappointed….my Corgi loved the original cookies. Too bad companies are cutting corners to increase their profits. Our pets health & life depend on our purchasing the best we can afford…I am so frustrated at the change in these biscuits. PLEASE GO BACK to the original biscuits. My rating would be ZERO if it was possible, so I had to give these dog trays an unearned star.
I submitted a review about your company changing not only the size, but the ingredients. I wrote this first review a couple of weeks ago, but it is not on your website. Very convenient. Do you only post an occasional negative review? Have you actually had no other reviews since May of 2021?. I find that hard to believe, especially with the change in the biscuits. These were the best biscuits when you purchased them from their original makers in Battleground, WA, but I feel profit must lead your actions. My dog won’t go near these new biscuits & just looks at me when I offer him your new concoction. Brung back the REAL original biscuit or in my humble opinion, I will not be the only person looking for new biscuits for my pup.
My dog has loved these biscuits for years….don’t expect your biscuits to look the way they are currently shown…..the company has not only changed the shape, but the recipe. My dog sniffs them now & just looks at me, like ‘where are my biscuits??’ He won’t touch the new ones. I am SO disappointed…..I bet the original company that American purchased these from are disappointed also. When they took over the supply of these biscuits, there was to be no change…..well there’s definitely a change now. Profit should not be the holy grail. If I could have given these zero stars I would have. Don’t buy these! There are.much better options on the market.
Hi Kristina! We're sorry it took this long to respond to your review, we transitioned to a new employee and this part of the job got lost in the shuffle. We are going to give your information over to our customer support team and they will be in contact with you soon.
We have a 12year-old Labrador who is on multiple medications each day. She is content to let me poke a pill way back in her mouth as long as I'm holding a Beggar Dog Biscuit in the other hand. She absolutely loves them and will tolerate no other biscuit. So, we go through 4 biscuits a day for her but our Beagle pup has learned that while I'm dosing Bella with one hand, he can snatch the biscuit from my other hand and run. So, now we're up to 8 biscuits a day (and more for training treats) and they are a significant part of my weekly food budget. I'm happy to give them a healthy treat however and now they both pester me for biscuits every time I'm in the kitchen.
Hi Deb! Thanks for taking care of your pup by giving them their nutrients! We are so glad to hear that our treats help your lab take her medicines, and hopefully they help for years to come!
My dogs love these cookies. My big guy, a very large rescue dog with a hyper-sensitive stomach, has no issue gobbling them down. He won't even try other cookies. The corgi/heeler mix? Well, she'll eat anything. Love the company philosophy of giving back and love the healthy and natural ingredients!
I am disappointed with the turkey biscuits. THE FLAXSEEDS create digestive problems in smaller dogs. The seeds are NOT broken down and are too sharp for small dog intestines. My previous boxes
of this product did not have any solid flaxseeds.
We are sorry to hear that the Flaxseeds in this batch seem to be higher in number and not as ground as your previous purchases. We would like to investigate this situation and need the following information to do so-The Best if Used by date on the box The Production/Lot code (found with the Best if Used by Date on the box) A picture of the biscuits in question Your mailing and physical address so that we may send a Fed-Ex label to have the product returned to us for testing. If you have any additional questions of concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at TChugg@AmPetNutrition.com.
